  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Question about Vaccinations?

Missk

Young Bun
Was just wondering when i take my buns for thier vaccinations should i take them together or seperate, What does everyone else do? :)

I've got an 8 month old boy and girl and took them together. Some people say that you should not separate them even for a couple of hours as they may reject each other when put back together.

But I took the Boy by himself to be neutered, and they were also kept separate for a week while he healed and they went back together fine.

Do whatever is best for you.. financially too of course. (some people may need to spread the cost)

I think its easier to do them together cos then there's only 1 date to remember when they're due again! :)

Take them together even if you are not having them both done at the same time. It's a bit less stressful for them when they are in strange surroundings if they have each other for company.

Together, always together and then like Capel said it is less stressful, even when one is having soething done and the other isn't I always take both
