Joey's Last Supper - Sleep tight, Sweet Dreams beautiful boy

:( so sorry you had to let Joey go.Sounda like you choose the right time and glad Joey had peaceful passing after being spoilt with last supper. Big hugs x

Oh I do hope so, she's a lovely gentle bunny, they would get on well

except he'd take advantage of her sweet nature and nick her banana:oops:. Bless him. Joey was rescued from a hoarding situation at 4 month (may have been 6) so maybe that was why he was funny about sharing food despite actually not being a greedy rabbit

Thanks for everyones input, its lovely to know how important Joey was to everyone
I miss him terribly but I don't miss worrying about him. Nearly 10 years with us & I think he did ok:love:

Spoke to Ruth (Joey's vet) on Tuesday & today a lovely card arrived

I didn't know they sent cards but its years since I had a bunny PTS there (Rudey went locally too & we took our time to update as all the vets he knew were off - 1st lockdown)

Does anyone know how many vet nurses are at Crab Lane?

Aww that is lovely

That's a lovely card. I do think it's a nice thing for vets to do. I actually got three cards after Snoopy died. One from my local vet, where he was registered, one from the hospital where he was PTS and one from the Beaumont where he'd had an appointment with the specialist. I really didn't expect them all to send one.

The day after, I got the bill for the CT scan...

I have only once had a condolences card, for Anarchy, sent by Rosie.

I have lost about 40 rabbits between various vets, most at CLV.

I was there with Ruben today who had a dental. The consent form has changed since my last visit. On it is says that if an inpatient needs close overnight monitoring they may be transferred to Bishopton. That situation was close to being a deal breaker when Barnaby practically died overnight. It needed fixing.

Nurses? Don't know. They have a lot more staff than 2 years ago. They were recruiting a health care assistant recently. Website probably up to date. 5 or 6, I think.

Thanks BB- I was thinking 6. I thought BB had been doing overnight for some time now. Vibes for Ruben, hope he recovers well from his dental

Re overnight. Nope. The patients get left between 10 pm and 8.00 am. Even when they did most of their own ooh cover if there was no call out there would be no staff on the premises.

I find the new statement interesting, it's been the case for years but not consented by signature. Paul also gave me an estimate "as we have to do it now". Ashlands have always given an estimate for treatment. I wonder if some authority has been laying down the rules.
