Getting hay / hair off carpet

Hi all,

Flopsy is a free roaming rabbit and this often results in my carpets being covered in hay and hair. She really hates the hoover and I try not too hoover too often (once a week or so). I usually just sweep up the hay etc. Is anyone using a rotating type brush / manual hoover thingy? Is it working well? I think of buying one but they don’t usually have good reviews on Amazon so I wonder if anyone has found one that works well.

The manual Bissells do a little, but not a huge amount. I've got an electric Bissell, which is a lot better.

When I had indoor bunnies their fur kept being left behind even after vacuuming. I ended up getting one of those spiky dog detangling brush things to use on the carpet. It worked really well.

that's so funny. I also had one for carpets. Now I just use 2 hoovers

Buka you might be able to accustomise her to hoover sounds by building up gradually, short periods & initially not in their area. My boy used to be petrified of the hoover but he shows no signs of caring these last few years

I have one of these, we have beige carpets and 2 grey bunnies, sometimes no amount of hoovering can get all the fluff up. My two don't mind the hoover but this thing is great. In fact sometimes I'm slightly disgusted at just how much fluff it picks up, it's like a whole extra rabbit!
