  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Odin

So we picked up the Isathal today, first dose tonight went fairly stress free with the help of barley rings - thankfully hubby is on holiday for the next 2 weeks so will be around every day, I don't think I could do them on my own. After discussion and a good week on Odin's part - helped I'm sure by now being on an entirely foraged fresh diet finally, with dried to supplement, but no bought fresh food - we are not doing anything else for now as his gut seems to have stabilised. So it's just the eyes and nose to try and clear up, really hoping the drops do the job!

I'm glad the first dose went fairly stress free. I hope they'll all be like that, and that it'll help him. Lots of vibes for Odin. I'm glad his gut seems to have stabilised, too.

Second dose was easy as anything, and I got a bit better at actually getting it in the spot. He's such a good boy! I highly doubt Freja would tolerate this so I'm immensely grateful it's him that needs the help right now and not her

Much love to Odin, and to you Dollyanna, Must have been very stressful for you all. So pleased he is doing much better [emoji173][emoji173][emoji173]
