Thank you for the lovely comments, it's nice to have it appreciated! I've discovered a bonus, aside from being SO easy to sweep clean, it is also nice and comfy and clean to sit or lie down in, so this evening I just lay down in there with them 
I really love just being with my animals, observing, being present, and we built a bench outside for this but in winter it's a bit rough to sit out on and they just sleep when it's light anyway. But now I have the space to lie down or sit on the floor without getting muck all over me, and it was so funny. Freja snuggled up and went to sleep, but Odin was a proper clown, diddling around, sticking his nose in everything, making faces at me, "stealing" food and running off with it despite no reason to.
