Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Leo's Dental

So glad to hear Leo is home and doing well. Love the cranberry wake-up call!

Flo chasing birds...now there's a video I'd love to see! :thumb:

You were due for a bunny with a quick recovery so I am pleased Leo is recovering well.
Sno flo would have lots of fun here today, though even wildies were hiding with a foot of fresh snow. In my area that is business as usual, though I wonder how cold/snow in typically warmer areas of the country will impact our supply of greens.
Sending lots of vibes for Leo.

Thanks everybun for all your vibes and thoughts.
Leo appears to be fine this morning. I wouldn’t say he’s eaten huge overnight but he did certainly munch his way through yesterday afternoon and evening and enjoyed his forage mat at bed time.
Flo had an hours run first thing before I had to go to work and she seems to be getting used to things much more now. It’s been nearly 2 weeks and she’s come along way.
Bunny momma - yes I have been following the news of the snow and the bitter temperatures over in the USA. Was it Ohio I heard that was -15 which was about 20 degrees colder than it should be fir the time of year?
Thank you all again for your wonderful support.

Most of the country is much colder than normal, my area of new york is below average yet not much wind.
Sending Leo more vibes. Glad to hear Flo already comfortable in her new home.

Leo is back to his usual self - inquisitive and content. He’s eating better, and has a brighter demeanour.
I’m trying to get him onto hay - he picks at it but it’s not his first choice. He’s also becoming very preoccupied with Flo as she is him. They are still kept apart but have been allowed cross over time. But both Flo and Leo are now very much aware of each other and I still can’t allow any interaction as it’s only been 3 weeks since Flo’s spay.

I’d try to get him some hay that he likes, if you can get some samples I’m sure you will find a couple he does like. See if you can mix his other foods into it to tempt him. Does he have a lot of pellets? Might be worth slowly reducing them to an egg cup ful a day if he’s eating more than that, otherwise he will fill up on them and not want the hay.

Oh bless her hopefully that will help Leo munch too. Blossom is a massive drinker and Rodney seems to be drinking more with her than he used to.

I'm glad he's recovering well!

Oh yeah- she munches hay like there’s no tomorrow. Hay cookies, hay, oat hay, long stemmed feeding hay, cardboard, carpet, wicker balls. She’s quite the muncher.

Carpet? Cardboard? Oh no Flo! Glad she enjoys hay. Zorro started to turn the newspaper lining his litterbox into confetti, I am glad he is not eating it. Raven does it too. Heidi can demolish a willow ball in record tine. She and Flo should have a contest! I wish I knew where to get willow free of chemicals to make my own . When I got her a hay hideout she chewed all the thin rope holding it together and a short while later it was an expensive pile of hay. She had fun so that was good.
It will be interesting to see how Leo and Flo's personalties evolve.
