Spooked bunny

dollyanna

Alpha Buck
Is it within normal for rabbits to get quite spooked by something that then affects their behaviour for a couple of days? Freja has been quite spooky the past couple of nights, and still today. She disappears at high speed into the igloo at almost any noise we make, but it isn't us as such that she's running from - she will come out to see us and still nudges us for cuddles etc when she is out, still very much her cheeky self, and was even approaching for cuddles in the garden yesterday (fairly new behaviour for her). She's also not been outside where normally she's the first out and last in - even when Odin is out she's staying in the igloo. She is still only 9 months, and had a very sheltered life for the first 5 months or so, so she is more spooky than Odin who is pretty well socialised.
She is eating, exploring, behaving normally other than this increase in spooking, and I've checked her ears, eyes etc for any signs of anything amiss, all seems to be normal.
Odin has been a bit humpy yesterday, which is usually triggered by anxiety, so could it just be that there have been some noises and things - or even the change in weather to frosty making things look and smell different - that have upset them?

Is Freja spayed ?If not Odin's humping may well have triggered ovulation and she could be about to have a pseudopregnancy.

If not that then maybe there has been a Fox about that has upset her a lot more than Odin

Or has there been any Fireworks going off ? They are here atm and they are freaking me out but my Rabbits are not bothered at all !

Rarely when one Bun becomes humpy it can be because they are picking up on a health problem brewing in the Rabbit they are humping.

Yes she's spayed, he's always been humpy but since they settled down he goes for days with nothing and then something upsets him again.
I haven't heard any fireworks, we don't get many despite being in Scotland, but yesterday they had a couple of loads of logs delivered in a tipper truck - but she was a bit spooky before that.
I can't find any sign of illness but keeping a very close eye as always anyway - she is still eating well, she came out to the garden todayof her own accord and came up to me for cuddles as well, but she spooks every time we open the summerhouse door which is weird.
I guess I'll just have to keep watching and see what happens!

Well we're all back to normal with a cheeky sassy vengeance today! Well up for everything, asking for cuddles and had good wash in the half flopped position right in front of us :D
