Introducing third bunny to already bonded pair

Hi all,

We had the opportunity to adopt a lovely bunny recently and have done so, bringing him home today. We did our research as to whether introducing him to our already bonded pair would be possible/likely/a good idea and decided that it would be worth a try. Despite all our research, the stories from people who've attempted to bond a trio like this are varied and of course we know it will vary from situation to situation in practice.
The current situation is;
- Our pre-bonded male/female (both neutered/spayed) pair live in the living area of our apartment and are generally free roam in that area.
- Our female is generally the dominant one in the pair but is also the most affectionate towards us. The boy is submissive and very loving to her but otherwise pretty independent.
- Our newly adopted male (not yet neutered but will be asap) has had a pen set up in our bedroom, big enough for him to run around quite freely but we'll be keeping him there for the mostpart until he is neutered and is slightly more reliably potty-trained.
- We just let the pre-bonded pair into the bedroom so they could meet through the mesh of the pen and they all had a mutual investigation. The excitement seemed to kick off a bit of circling with our prebonded pair so we took them out of the room quickly just incase as of course we don't want their bond negatively affected. Since coming back into the living room their normal bonded behaviour of grooming and lying next to eachother has resumed.

I was wondering if anybody has experience with this sort of bonding attempt and would have any advice for us.
