Athena and Zeus's first day

Today has gone really well, there's been some chasing, lots of exploring by Athena, long naps and general happiness

Thank you for everyone giving me advice, answering my many questions and supporting us

Here's some pics from today the whole setup will be changing tonight to be more comfy for them.

I’m so glad things are going well! It looks like I’m going to be attempting some bonding of my own soon, so it’s really useful to me to see how other people are going about it.

Thanks mikek & IM! agree they do look so much happier together

It was a bit nerving OliveTree but as tonibun suggested to me, just take it matter of factly and step in when needed.
My heart was pounding the first 30mins and I kept wanting to step in when there was some chasing but I kept reminding myself that look at their attitude and realised it's not aggression not that I'm a well versed bonder probably more the complete opposite! So happy to share my experience in more detail with you if you'd want, just pm me

Aw, it looks like they had a great day! They look so comfortable with each other already. And it looks like Athena has explored every corner of your flat, haha. And there were some nice Zeus sploofs, too. I love the photo of Athena in the food bowl. :lol:

Hehehe she sure did!!! Many spaces I didn't think she'd be able to explore even [emoji1787] she's a jumper! She has no issues jumping from the floor onto the cage roof and back off with ease [emoji15]
Zeus on the other hand well he's an epic sploofer [emoji1787][emoji7]

Yea I couldn't stop giggling at her in Zeus's food bowl [emoji1787] she did end up napping in there [emoji1787]

Dinner time now and then going to start the chaos of rearranging Zeus's pen to make it a bunny utopia retreat [emoji1787]

I'm really pleased that you have achieved so much in such a small amount of time. I think the key to all your success is probably Zeus who is in my view, one of those very rare and very special rabbits that we've all found sometime in our lives. He is uber chilled and his personality shines through that. Athena, still young, is more than comfortable and their combined personalities are a rare blend which have clearly made both buns very much at ease with each other.
Fingers crossed that the harmony continues and grows and looking forward to many more wonderful photos of them both.

It sounds like they balance each other out nicely; Athena jumping on everything and exploring while Zeus does his epic sploofs. It's so cute that Athena actually napped in the food bowl, aww. It looks like all of your furry family had a nice dinner! =) And good luck with the bunny utopia retreat, haha.

Good morning everyone
Some updates I slept with them in the livingroom as I blocked my bedroom off and Zeus would've gone mental if I left him in the living room and me go to the bedroom. Did also get me tons of cuddles from both. There was one point where I had to tell Zeus off as he made Athena grunt/squeak after some chasing, but after a stern word all went well the rest of the night and I woke up a few times and they were cuddling!!! During the night they also kept on checking on me one at a time and this morning they joined forces at 6am to wake me up :lol: They've had their breakfast and after some zoomies have now gone into nap mode.

Thank you it's not a perfect utopia yet though I still have a few bits that I need to finish off for their utopia area I do spoil them wayyyyy rotten haha always have with my pets

Hahaha yea the balance is definitely good. She has made Zeus run a bit so that’s a good thing! Oh I squealed out loud when I saw her napping in there :lol: Zeus on the other hand got a bit confused about where the food went :lol: Phase 1 of bunny utopia retreat has been completed

Thank you and yup! My vet spoke to that vet and when I take Athena for her checkup she’ll give me the vaccination card

Oh and Athena is definitely a super jumper!! She's taken to jumping from the playbox to the couch and back, they're about 1m apart!!! [emoji33][emoji33]

Excellent news regarding Athena's vaccination card

Athena certainly wants to jump. I would be anxious though, so make sure that if she mis-judges she can't fall and hurt herself.
