Demi's Shed Progress UD:They love sticking their heads out of the bubble window!

Gnats: yes, most likely. It's been warm and there've been LOADS along the canal, the Science Park path next to the brook, etc., so we've needed to keep mouths shut while walking  If you're anywhere near water then they might have come in to the shed overnight to keep warm and then been unable to get out.

It's looking awesome :D

The outside of the shed is all done! I can't wait for their shelf to be done so they can go upstairs and look out of the bubble window :D I did have some lovely cream and purple pansies in the plant pot but my grandma popped it on the floor for a second and that's all it took for the rabbits so eat them up  The paving is all down and once the cement has set I'm going to jetwash them all so the old match the new, and my dad is going to start making the run. The shed is going to be pushed about 2ft backwards so i will have some space to walk around on the slabs

Next steps are to use silicone sealant where the shed and shelf floors meet the sides because some naughty bunnies are occasionally weeing outside of their litter tray and it's running under the little gaps under the sides of the shed and probably going to make it all rotten and smelly  I also accidentally jetwashed a hole in the roof of their little hide-hut so I'm going to get them a nice new shelter  The run will hopefully be going up next weekend if the weather is alright. I think it's very unlikely they would fall off of the edge of the shelf but I might add another piece of wood to the edge just to make it a little bit higher

We note Elmo and Cookie are much fluffier than when we looked after them: I expect it's because that was summer and now it's winter and they're outside, but Matt wonders if they're trying to keep up with Princess?

We both LOVE this shed: I think the bubble window is giving Matt ideas  Heck, it's giving ME ideas! I'm most familiar with these in an aircraft setting, having looked through them on a Catalina and Sunderland. I wonder if the air museum has any spares they don't need? I'm already in line for some helicopter tail boom cowlings which make great bunny tunnels and the museum's helicopter team have loads of free ones :D

Thanks everyone! I've looked everywhere for a new hideyhole and I was struggling to find anything the right height, the right price and that looks good. I think I'm going to convert an ikea 'hol' table, I've seen quite a few pictures of people using them as rabbit bases/cat caves after cutting out a small hole

When you looked after them they had been used to living in a very warm house, they've definitely become fluffier since moving outside, although I do fear some of the 'fluffiness' is actually fat  If you look at the picture of Cookie standing up and looking out of the window you can see his feet poking out under his chubby little belly  We're working on it. You can get the bubble windows from amazon for £15 and they come with all of the fixings and things :D
