Potted bunnies

Wise Old Thumper
We needed to clear some pots out to plant stuff from our removed windowboxes in so we pulled out the few not-bunny-safe plants and let Chibbs and Lopsy loose: like mowing the lawn, it proved human-time efficient but not quick

Chibbs dives in: she's a bit dinky for this to be effective

Ah, Chibbs discovers it's a perfect height to reach the top of the run!

Lopsy's turn:

Ooh, somebun's made it in!

Once she finished most of the pot, she realised it was an even easier way to reach the top of the run from up there!

Lopsy also made it in, and did much the same

He seems to fit better even though he's bigger

And some asides: Chibbs got very sunbleached over summer it seems! She's also growing her winter mane in a very haphazard way, lots of 'bald spots'

FYI It took Lopsy about a minute to photobomb my set of Sunbleached Chibbs photos  I had to actually wait for him!

I took a picture of Lopsy in their new hutch (off Freecycle, really good solid hutch, needs a new hinge or two, but perfect as Yet Another Hideaway) and I think it's the best picture I've ever taken of him  You can just see Chibbs under the hutch.

What gorgeous bunnies, especially those striking eyes on Lopsy.

Looks like they had some enjoyable enrichment time there. :D I never was able to get my 3 interested in pots. They were strictly litterbox sitters.

Thanks everyone :D Yeah, we were busy trying to get the second (not rotten) windowbox down and needed somebuns to clear those pots while we did that, and we do like to give them something different to do every now and then: I might say they're morons (they ARE!) but they like a new challenge.

MimzMum, mine have always been high-level lovers, they like to be up! We were a bit worried they'd get on top of the hutch in the lawn pen but I think it's a bit beyond Lopsy these days, but we put it away from the edge of the pen just in case...! When we let them out on the lawn, they spend some time running around and then hop in and out of the hutch a fair bit :)

We totally changed up the lawn layout because we needed to remove the dog crate (impending external wall insulation means moving all the hard-to-remove stuff while we have time): so within the usual boundary they have the 'new' run (which we'll finish one day ), a spare tube, the dog crate and the new hutch because they won't fit anywhere else. Matt made them an obstacle course out of it all, I'll try and get some pictures at some point :) They LOVE it. but we also discovered that if you leave a dead end, they'll dig either at the end or at the entrance to said dead end :thumb: Having said that, they've also dug at the grassy end of the spare tube: we stopped them digging at the front of the access tube by moving it onto the concrete, and they still give it a go every so often :)
