Took all my rabbits to the vet this week for vaccinations and a health check and found out that the other half of my pair, Logan, is now developing cataracts on top of Sylvester's cataracts being much more advanced. As this means that both of them are losing sight I'm in need of ideas for replacing or adapting the hutch ramp up to the top floor in order to make it easier for them whilst they still have enough sight to adjust. Unfortunately completely new custom accommodation is out of budget for now otherwise I'd go that route.
So far I've tried a Runaround tube today with results to be seen this evening on how happy they are with the idea but connecting it at the top and perhaps getting a bunny stuck halfway and not wanting to move means that I'm not 100% sure that's the answer. Is it possible to get a ridged tube that's a semi-circle? I'm also not sure where to get one of those pipes as I'm reluctant to sacrifice an existing Runaround tunnel if I can avoid it.
Any suggestions or even successful changes that have been tried out that I could take a look at at all? Suggestions for connecting to the top floor would be welcome as well.
