Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Best way of cooling rabbits down in summer

Tiles, ice-cold water bottles, keeping them quiet will help but don't give iced water to drink.

This is what we do as well.
Lots of tiles around the room, you can even put them in the freezer for a bit first as well if you want.

We also have a fan in our rabbit room, I don't think you're supposed to face it directly at rabbits but ours always sit exactly where it's blowing!

We have frozen volcic bottles - they are square and don’t roll about. Also as Phillips mum said we have some square tiles. We have a portable air conditioning unit which is very good. You could put some things you trust them not to eat like towels in the freezer etc but be aware if they eat anthing like that it could cause a blockage - I can’t use anything like that for my bunnies

frozen water bottles tbh.. I put them in without a cover as orion would eat them. not that they lie against them anyway (luna is usually found licking them ) but the option is there.

dampening bunnies can help also, much to their upset. just wet/mist the ears. lots of blood vessels there close to the surface so it can help cool them down. I've noticed my two go from heavy breathing too warm to slightly more relaxed and "chill" once their ears have been dampened.

I use freezer blocks and put them inside an old sock, double wrapped. They find it less scary than a water bottle, which often makes noises as it defrosts. Plus the old socks probably smell like me anyway, so are less scary.

I've also bought a could of cool mats from TheRange, they didn't have many left. They can go in the fridge, so don't last as long as freezer blocks, and they are a bit squishy like water beds. You can put them in the freezer, but then they become very lumpy difficult to put down.

personally I don't recommend using these as the material inside if ingested is toxic I believe :[ many rabbits are likely to chew, or at the very least have a nibble, and if they do what's inside is..really not good for them, ofc. the pads don't need to go in the fridge or freezer, the gel inside gets cooler with touch, whatever science that may be  but yeah, personally I don't recommend to use them because the risk is there. bunnies can be disinterested & then suddenly decide its he best snack in the world, which could be dangerous (and/or fatal!).

obviously up to you about what you do / how you use them! :D
