You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Covered in bites

Hi I collected my bun 2 weeks ago.
He seems happy and the whole family play with him. I am the mummy responsible for cleaning and feeding.

3 days ago we changed his hay Timothy and Meadow hay from pets at home and Excel long grass feeding hay.

Since getting these two new hays I am covered in bites all over my legs and a few on my torso.

I'm guessing there is something in the hay as I am the only one handling it.

HELP I don't know what to do?

Thanks
Vanessa

No I've never had bites from hay either, I would agree to check your bunnies for bites, or any signs of scratching. If so would be best to let vets take a look at them.

Are you sure its bites and no just an allergic reaction to the hay? I get lots of contact lumps and bumps from handling hay.
