  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Poor Boo, that must've been so upsetting for her to experience and for you to see. =( I'm glad she's feeling better today. Hopefully it was just a one-time thing. =(

Poor Boobly, so sorry to hear about her bad night, really hope it doesn't happen again. Gentle nose rubs from me, George and Treacle xxx

I was thinking more related to degenerative changes in the spine xx

Oh good! good only because I think you got Mousey & Boo mixed up a little. Apart from her eyes Boo is in great physical shape - very strong of body! Its old Mouseypie that is crumbling away before my eyes xx

not worthy of a new thread but wanted to post a couple of photos

J&B the morning after her troubled night, sharing a big carrot treat (Boo looks knackered)

]Sorry I got mixed up[/B]. I am permanently in that state these days

Lovely pics

No worries at all. This mix up is a good thing as far as Boobly is concerned. I did mean to discuss the occurrence with her vet but spent so long discussing Mouse I left Boo out

I'll give her a hug from you Omi, she'd like that. Please don't worry about her though - on photos she might look a little lost & vulnerable but IRL she seems to have fun

Oh bless her, yes she does look tired, I hope she's made up for it now, maybe an extra treat might help says Treacle :D

Yes, please give her a hug from me

I don't worry about her as I know what she gets up to at times  I thought about her a few days ago actually as Tui has had another spell of ejecting all of the hay out of the litter tray. I've two issues with that, firstly she drags it to where there's no cover, so it gets wet with the rain and secondly they both then make a mat with it which they use to poo and wee on. It's great fun though!

Thanks everybun. Its been a week & no repeat incidents

I miss her not evicting litter trays - it was loads of fun to watch. I think retrospectively it may have been for Mouses benefit as she hasn't done it since moving upstairs (& now we have carpets I'm not keen for her to restart)
