Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Manor Vets - Pet Health Club for Rabbits

I was looking at Manor Vets who have a gold rating and came across the Health Club, does anyone have any experience of the club? Is it worth joining? It costs £10.99 a month and includes nail clippings, vaccinations, a 6 month health check and 20% of neutering costs amongst other things. Thanks.

Yea we joined for 2 of ours, I'm not sure why now, I think I might cancel it tbh. We only did it because it worked out cheaper when they were having two vaccinations a year, but now the new vaccination is out which gives them protection against everything in one vac and costs a lot less, I'm not sure it's worth it now cost wise. Ours is a different vet but same deal except its £6.50 a month per bun. We only signed up 2 out of 4 of our buns at the time, I would have signed up the other two when their vaccinations were due, but now the vaccination has changed and its cost I won't bother.

The other stuff is personal I guess, I clip nails myself at home, the health check I don't think is very useful, especially as I've never booked one [emoji38] they go to the vets when needed anyway, and get checked when they have their vacs. And mine are already all neutered.

If your buns are not neutered, it might be worth adding up the neutering cost minus the 20% off and vac cost and working out if it makes sense to maybe do it for a year if it works out cheaper that way. Long term I don't think they're really worth it though.

Thanks Graciee, I pretty much expected this answer. I'm glad I checked and didn't just sign up!

Not sure re the health club as all of our bunnies are too old or have too many health issues to qualify for anything like this, but just wanted to say that Manor Vets are amazing. Sergio is the best rabbit vet I’ve ever been to.

Thanks, we took our bunny for his vaccinations today at Vets4Pets Shelfield and the vet also recommended Manor Vets as being very experienced with rabbits. We have decided to register at Manor Vets and use them for the neutering when we get to this stage (our bunny is currently 9 weeks old).
