Feeding branches

Hi we brought home a couple of 16 week old bunnies yesterday and are just settling them at home. We have put some leafy hazel branches in their run, do branches we feed them count as part of their veg/fruit allowance because they are loving the branches and we want to know if we should be limiting them. They have loads of hay available to them and grass in their run, plus pellets and have been yumming up Kale. TIA for advice

I would limit the branches for the time being and just give them as a treat. Bunnies (especially young ones) stomachs can be a little fragile, particularly in new circumstances and so changes to their diet should not be drastic, but as a treat every so often should not be a problem.

I'm sure you've already thought of this but don't forget they will need vaccinating and neutering too.
