Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.
Yes shes waiting for some bloodwork on Monday before giving long term advice.
Shes recommended growing some grass for them as that might help them both with teeth long term. They're indoor buns and our concrete patio is frequented by tons of cats unfortunately.
He hiding in his home we had to give him his meds which wasnt very successful. He chewed a bit but was very sleepy.
She said she flushed? his bladder but not a great deal managed to come out. I think we'll be reviewing diet so thank you very much for the sheets.
It's funny apart from a bit of parsley I thought we were fairly calcium light but seems not.
Miserable bunny this morning. He's just not swallowing his critical care much. I had slowly worked up to the big 15ml syringe but am swapping back to 1ml so it's a bit easier for him.
He's eaten a tiny bit of dried plantian and echinacea forage and keeps attacking and eating the newspaper in their loos. There are some small poo coming through and considering all the stress yesterday he seems to be ok.
We shall keep persevering. I'm expecting that his next dose of metacam at 8PM will give him a boost.
His poor ear looks sore from his fluids. Poor thing has one shaved ear and half a shaved belly. He looks rather confused when he goes to groom!
Poo we have poo!!!
Oodles of it, all tiny but the vet did say he has some small ones built up when she examined him.
It's actually embarrassing how happy I was to see the pile He's picking at a bit more food too.
Fingers crossed this is the beginning of a proper recovery for the poor lad.

Thanks all. Rodders is seeming much more normal today or at least pre dental normal.
I have noticed he isnt yawning when he stretches so I think whoever's suggested his jaw may be sore for a bit was right on the money.
Any tips on encouraging drinking in a rabbit that hates sweet stuff? I'm trying coriander tea but he doesnt seem inclined towards it. He's not big on mint although does eat it.
Today I've noticed Primrose has sludgy urine too although no discomfort so am thinking a diet chat with the vet is necessary. She drinks a fair bit though so maybe that's why it's not become a problem for her.
She adores oxbow cranberry treats and he will eat those. I've been giving them rosewood fenugreek tabs to encourage appetite but maybe i should alternate?
