Rabbits with antenna 1 up, 1 down during young age, do they flop down older?

Happy Hopping

so for rabbits whose antenna is 1 up and 1 down say at the age 1

when they grow older, is it true both will flop down permanently?

if so, is it a bad health sign? ie., the crown gets smaller and a tell tale sign of future dental problem?

Of the 3 baby bunnies I looked after, they started to lop around 6 weeks but would sometimes have one up one down until about 6 months when 2 went full lop. The one I kept was generally uppy eared, one ear went lop around 1 year old for a few months but now is back up!! Sometimes one can be slightly lower. They're all young and no dental problems at the moment

it was down and then back up? must be viagra

for those people who have 50% lop? what should these be after they reach a mature age?

and what 's the cause of flop down after a certain age?

Smudge’s up ear sometimes flops but not very often. He’s nearly 11. I believe it can be a sign of an ear infection if it’s persistent.

It's down to genetics as to whether the ears are up, down or helicopter. Young buns ears can lop from being uppy, so with a mixed breed bun you may not know for a few months. There's nothing you can do about it - they are what they are.

Sometimes if a mature bunny is feeling a bit off, the ears can change position, like a sign of discomfort. Large ears may also droop a little in really warm conditions, as they fill with more blood (so become heavier) to act as a radiator to keep bunny cool. So it is worth knowing what is usual for that bunny, and keeping an eye on them as an indicator of something else happening.
