  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Atticus, stasis :(

Had his ear catheter out this morning, he's now a sad helicopter bun [emoji51] he's doing better, still gunna keep with the cisapride for a few more days, and just giving loxicom now not that and tramadol together, will do a few more loxicom doses then stop that too and see how he goes, he's popping a little more, and is nomming more, just hoping he starts drinking now on his own :)

Gracie, So sorry I am late to this thread, yet am glad Atticus has improved so well.
He would not be here without your careful monitoring and dedication to your boy.
Sending you and Atticus lots of vibes.

Ah, glad to hear he has turned around. :) I always found sub q fluids meant my buns didn't drink as much as well. Naughty Atticus, don't go scaring your mum like that.
Sending continued good health vibes your way. xxxxx

Thanks everyone :)

He's still doing okay, one ear still floppy but he's eating more and more hay and there's more output and he just seems more himself, so proud of him for bouncing back this time, I feared we'd have a repeat of last time [emoji51]
