  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Paw injury

I hope that Archie is doing OK now ?
He's doing a lot better. Paw is mostly down now. I woke up to a poop fest in the living room. Which was hilariously exciting for me. Who doesn't like to find piles of golden boulders? Hahaha

Nothing like seeing a big pile of poo !! Is it his front left paw/toe that he hurt ? Hopefully once the new nail starts to grown he wont keep catching the nerve that is probably exposed atm. I'd just try to keep an eye on his paw for any sign of swelling. He does look to be a Nethie with attitude.................

It's his right front paw. (Or the left if you are looking at him).

We're are definitely keeping an eye on the poppet to check it heals properly.

He certainly has attitude, much more than Pip. We are both working from home and he was quite upset with all the typing sounds upsetting his snoozing. So he started ripping the cardboard off his tunnel. He is also insistent on the office door being open, so he can watch over us. Otherwise it gets chewed and headbutted until we open it. Hahaha.
