I've never had a hammie that was not able to be handled,patience and gentleness is the way.I have been bitten by a couple out of twelve,but they were new and babies.Once they have no fear of you they love coming out.One I had years agoa Floofy Syrian called "Tumbles" loved to run under the bed covers by my leg,then fall asleep in the crook of my knee.(not all night mind,lol).

He is adorable. You did a wonderful job caring for him when he had the mass in his abdomen vet misdiagnosed as a tumor. I am sure he appreciated the wonderful care. May he become as healthy as he is cute!
