Is This Normal?

So I have a couple of bonded male rabbits. One of them is named Lincoln and he is a 7 month old lionhead mix and he is the normal size of his breed. My other rabbit is named Tyler and he is very small for his age and breed. He is a full mini rex. He is 4 months old and he looks like this...

(Sorry about the crusty picture! Lol!)
He is not skinny at all, he is a good weight for his size. I’m not concerned about this, I just wanted to get a few opinions from some other rabbit owners...

Thanks so much,

Kaylor

Lincoln is the normal size of a Lionhead. I have seen other Lionheads in person to compare. But thank you so much for your help!

Sorry if I'm being stupid, but what's the question? :S

I don’t have a scale, so I don’t know exactly how much he weighs... If you are asking if my rabbits are neutered, then no they are not.

Well two entire Bucks will fight big time when both are sexually mature. They can fight to the death  So if you want to keep them together BOTH will need to be neutered.

As for the Mini Rex, he looks underweight to me and small for his age. He may be the 'runt' of the litter. Do you have his litter mates to compare him with ? He may also be being bullied over food by Lincoln. So Tyler may not be getting sufficient nutrition.

I would invest in some digital baby scales so you can accurately monitor his weight to make sure he is gaining. He should continue to grow for at least another 2-3 months reaching an ideal weight of no more than 4.5 lbs.

Are you in the UK ? If so it is essential that your Rabbits are vaccinated

So it would be a good idea to make an appointment with a Rabbit Savvy Vet to have your boys thoroughly checked over and vaccinated. You can also arrange to have them neutered
