So last night on Bake Off, Noel was talking to the competitor who’s a vet about difficult animals to treat, she came out with “Rabbits, they just want to die”. Was it just me who thought, maybe you need some more training on how to treat them then?
I dunno. I saw it & it made me sad but I guess it highlights that they are so fragile & difficult to treat
Oh I've never liked that one! Her voice really grates. I liked her even less after her bunny comment. Yes there is a kernel of truth in it, but it was the flippancy of it that got me.
On the plus side she dropped one of her tarts and I cheered! Very petty of me, I know.

I saw it as just meaning they're very fragile. Working in a vets practice I can see this being something quite a few vets would say, but they don't mean it in a harsh way. We say similar about wildlife as sadly they often don't make it but doesn't mean we don't try and research/contact specialists for them etc. But I do agree the average vet should have more training in rabbits, it does upset me some vets within the practices I've worked are still doing things like not stressing the importance of RHD2 vaccines etc
I didn't see the programme, but I am sure Had I have done so there would have been some colourful language from me !
