Thanks all. I am not for one minute suggesting that it is not the general 'rule' to spay non breeding Does. But there will always be the rare case that means spaying is more of a risk than not spaying. So please dont read this thread as an 'anti spay' opinion. It is just a rare and complex situation that means that doing what has for many years been considered to be best for the long term health and welfare of the Doe is not appropriate.
