Please Note - Medical Advice
Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.
You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.
We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.
Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.
Thanks J&B, I'm really hoping that's the case.Good plan Scrappy. Its possible that what was ailing her was transitory & her diagnostics might not be necessary after all. Everything crossed xx

Just out of interest, when Boo was quacking, did it ever temporarily stop for a few days or was it pretty much continuous up until her dental?

Thanks J&B. Unfortunately in the last couple of weeks she's quacked an awful lot more than that.I think I only heard it 2 or 3 times in total. Her first consult was due to a collection of symptoms (quacking, sneezing, pawing her mouth) but we only heard or saw each very rarely over perhaps a month. They were highly supervised back then so I wouldn't have missed much. She hasn't quacked since

I'm starting to think my buns are bored of being rabbits and want to change species. First Fudgie starts quacking like a duck and then the other day Snoopy decided to gallop like a horse, complete with full on head tossing.

Thanks Pets mum xxGood luck for the scan on Thursday x last time Treacle went in for a dental, I packed her some home made treats for her "lunch" the nurses thought it highly amusing !
Thanks Jane xx
I've just dropped her off at the vet's, so it's just a case of waiting for news. They said I probably wouldn't hear from them until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.
I hope she'll settle ok. She has her big bag of forage to keep her occupied. I did warn them there's loads of brambles in there!
