  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Vibes for Lillian please - U/D 9th July

Some images of 5 minutes ago of 'Lawnmower' Lillian enjoying herself in the deliberately overgrown area in our garden, left so that there's plenty of long grass for Lillian to nomm on....

She's looking brighter in my opinion, and we've stopped all current meds. She's not eating much in the way of greens right now, but if she's filling up on natures finest natural grass during the day (Jan is on a day off), then that's fine by me. She's still not massively energetic, but it's only 2.5 weeks after the op so I expect things to be slow. But at least she's eating and getting some input going on.

What beautiful pics and what a lovely area for them  There will be all sorts of little creatures living amongst that lot

It appears Lillian is going from strength to strength. Long may it continue! :)

Must be quite a relief to see her improving day to day. :)

Beautiful pictures! I wish I could allow our rabbits on our wild grass area where I collect their food every morning. But I am too cowardish, too scared they might eat something that's bad for them, so I only let them own on the "harmless" grass. When I see Lillian I feel sorry for mine and might try to be more courageous. Your rabbits have a wonderful life and I love the fact that one of them is called Henry like my favourite king and my grandson. All the best for your recuperating queen!
