Vibes for Lillian please - U/D 9th July

Well, I found out why Henry was behaving odd these last few days. The whole episode has unsettled him and whilst is been focusing on Lillian and her needs, I had overlooked Henry. The fact we had changed the toilet area round to make access easier for Lillian, also had the opposite effect on Henry which is why I hadn't seen any evidence of his poops.
That was until I went upstairs this morning - Henry likes to sit upstairs in the morning for some reason. I spotted a rogue bum nugget in my sons bedroom (he's at uni so room empty) and as I followed the bum nugget, I found another and another. Then I found a lot, then a pile. Then another pile and some areas of wee. Poor Henry must have been bottling his pops and wees up because the familiar toilet area isn't there.
So it's perhaps likely that the poos in the kitchen sleeping box area are Lillian's but can't substantiate.
Will now have to monitor Henry for his output. It never rains.....

With the politest of respect Omi, I'm finding its having the opposite right now. But their needs come before mine so regardless of how I feel, they must always come first. Just when you think you have one thing under some control, something just pops up (or out) to throw you a reality check!

It sounds like the unusual poops are Lillian's. Poor Henry, but don't blame yourself and at least he has found a second toilet area that suits him (your son might not be too impressed though!).
Do hope pooping from both buns continues. It sounds as as if Lillian is doing quite well with eating.

I'm on a trip for a few days- just bad timing. I had considered cancelling the trip in light of Lillian, but my wife said not to and things sort of working out at home. I bought Lillian (and Henry) some fresh carrots with tips on my way home from work plus a herb top up for Lillian. Lillian thought the carrot tops were an exceptional treat and whilst normally they don't agree with her, I figured if she's eating something, then it's good. She's not had dried food yet but again, no bad thing. So Lillian enjoyed two rounds of carrot tops tonight before o left and her wound and tail area are looking much better. She's still lethargic but she's had a hell of a last few days. To assist with meds and cream, Mrs C is in listing the help of the vet nurse for the next 2 days which also means we can see how Lillian is improving and how her weight is. Then on Thursday she sees the vet who performed the op for a follow up and to see how things are.
Lillian still hasn't found her full appetite but at the moment, she is eating small amounts and hopefully have some output in the morning. A quiet few days to recover will do her good I hope.
As for Mrs C, she is sporting 2 huge black eyes and a badly bruised nose and it now transpires that she tripped on an uneven grate in the school grounds- which the school have now admitted but are trying to blame my wife for carrying two heavy bags. I don't think so. I'll be taking some legal instruction on this.
So yes, this is a roller coaster few days and having just driven 230 miles tonight and dropped off food for my chemist studying son, I need a few hours kip.

You certainly have a lot going on Craig, it must be exhausting !! I do hope that Lillian will continue to heal and get back to her usual self ASAP.
Poor Mrs C, that must have been some fall. And how typical that the school are trying to say it was all her fault .........*sigh* I hope that she is not in too much pain and that the bruising will resolve quickly.

I’m glad that you have decided to go on your trip, I hope you have a good time. I’m topping up the vibes for both Lillian and Mrs Craig. I would take legal advice on the grate too. The citizens advice bureau might be able to help, also if your wife is in a union, or sometimes on house insurance you can get legal advice.

U/D 26th June. Lillian was seen by the vet nurse yesterday (and also the exotic vet specialist who treated Henry for his lameness earlier in the year). Lillian's weight has dropped from 3.5kg to 3.4 - which sort of reflects the fact she has not really eaten very much. But given the concern for her weight anyway, losing some weight should be a positive from a vetinary care perspective. Mrs C got a further lecture about the weight issue again - and whilst I get the ongoing concern, I am beginning to feel that there is just a very single minded blinkered approach to the bladder stone. Having read all your wonderful supportive comments on Lillian over the last week, it is clear many of you use bottled water and that is something I had not considered as we live in a very high limescale water area (calcium) which, through the simple laws of biology, means that the high in calcium water Lillian is drinking, would also be a contributory factor - something not yet even mentioned by the vet.
The vet/vet nurse also has told Mrs C that she is to separate Lillian from Henry as she feels Henry would begin to 'dominate' Lillian as she is now vulnerable from her operation. Henry's 'domination' could effect her recovery. I was quite saddened and shocked by this. but Mrs C has taken the steps to separate Lillian and put her in the indoor cage. The vet also requested this so that her output could be monitored since there is little/no conclusive evidence of Lillian poop. Having Lillian back in the indoor cage means that we can see where and when she pees and poops, without having any output from Henry as well.
Lillian still did/is not eating much save for some carrot tope which are now her new favorite. She is not interested in dried food or even her go to favorite, cranberries. It's as if she's almost on hunger strike. Mrs C is administering critical care and we have more repeat gut meds to continue in the hope this stimulates Lillian to feed more. But then if she eats more, she'll put weight back on and the vet will be on our case again. Seems like catch 22 here.
Mrs C did discover 2 huge piles of poop in the garden - fist size areas which were where Henry had been spending time in the garden, so thankfully he seems to be doing his bit. Mrs C found one very small very hard dark black 'bum nugget' yesterday where Lillian was - so she is assuming that was Lillian poop. Lillian seems to be drinking more - and from the water bowl rather than bottle, so we take that as a positive.
Lillian will be at the vet nurse today and then the surgical vet who performed the operation, tomorrow so we will see what happens from there.
Thank you all again so very much - I am hoping that this turns around into a positive for Lillian soon and we can get her back on a stable recovery route and back with Henry.
