Default Mint to help relieve gas?

We currently have an ongoing issue with Rambo having gas (his tummy is rumbling and selective in his food and not eating hay/pellets).

He seems to be keen on herbs (which he never has been before) and is wolfing down mint and thyme more than other herbs. I know peppermint may have some medicinal properties for gas but was wondering if the usual mint (from supermarket) does too?

Any other suggestions for anything that will help alleviate gas we are willing to try (he is on infacol)

dear bunnybabe,--yes,peppermint/spearmint does help reduce gas,--may need infant simethicone...rabbits cannot throwup/expel--the gas is painful..--I believe the pain is the trigger for not eating ie.grasses/pellets..need tummy rubs from top of the stomach to the tail..--resuming a normal diet of grasses/pellets/h2o is mandatory..the teeth/mouth are a main concern, beware of gi stasis,--keep a watch on the poops http://www.medirabbit.com and http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html sincerely james waller from across the great pond-usa
