  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Could Sophie have some RU Vibes Please. - Good News

Sophie is much more normal now with her breathing now but won't eat the Shreddy with Baytril on nor Milk Thistle with Baytril hidden! She must be feeling better! Just hope she continues to improve. Thanks everyone!

I am so glad your Sophie is returning to normal thanks to your attentiveness and care. Sending you more vibes for continued progress.

I’m glad she was doing better yesterday, and I hope she has continued to improve since :thumb:

Well Sophie seems absolutely better today, no sign of a problem when she breathes, so I am very thankful. Whatever it was, she has been able to recover from it with a little bit of help from the Baytril. Now, what was it I promised her?

Wonderful news!

That's brilliant news. I hope bonding will be successful this time. Will you try with one of your (many) bunnies or adopt a friend for Sophie?

I don't have a single bunny except her. She is 5 now so maybe an older bunny will be looking for a new home. We will just have to see. She came from someone who breeds then when Mum has had their babies, she re-homes them  Sophie was overweight and depressed when I got her at 18 months.
