Grass

Since the weathers been nicer and the rabbits have had access to the garden they spend most of the day on grass when somebody is home. They love it and eat lots of it, is it ok for them to eat a lot of grass? I worry about them eating less hay if they fill up on grass but it’s pretty much the same thing isn’t it. Is it equally as good? They were introduced to grass slowly and it hasn’t upset their tummies

If they were introduced to it slowly and it’s not upset their tummies then that’s the main thing, as the spring grass comes in they might need monitoring. Their poops might go a bit smaller and darker if they are eating more grass and consequently less hay.

Mine get smaller, darker poos on grass but that's normal (and healthy), otherwise it's just the same as hay
