Destructobuns with sore hocks

My two are driving me insane :lol: They were on rugs and vetbed but we noticed they had started getting sore hocks so I bought a duvet with a lovely soft cover but they've all but destroyed it in less than two weeks (on the bright side, their hocks are looking much better!). I've been looking up all sorts or suitable floors but I feel like no matter what we use they're going to shred it in no time. I can't afford to keep replacing it every other week.

Any ideas? I'm going nuts :lol:

No advice I’m afraid but I can sympathise as Beauty is a chewer nick named miss mighty nibbler we’ve just put new flooring in the pen and are waiting for it to be destroyed.

Stable/rubber matting? You would have to keep their nails short to make sure they don't dig into it too much.

Something soft that you can lay flush against the sides of the shed or their accommodation:

But ... if they are indoor rabbits, you can either lay a piece bigger than their pen or adapt to suit.
If the buns are free ranging like mine, um - difficult :?

Thanks for the suggestions, was in a rush this morning so probably missed a few details! They are free range but they're a bit odd in that they choose not to leave their room even though it's always open (unless they hear me open the treat drawer in the next room :lol

Is stable matting ok for sore hocks? It looks like it needs something soft on top which is what worries me. I wouldn't mind but before I put the duvet down all they did was eat and sleep, something has awoken in them, clearly :lol: I'm assuming spring fever, Theo is having a mad moult too. It was tucked under the pen but they just keep digging it out.

You could consider putting a thick layer of hay down on top of the rubber matting, that would be the ultimate, but I would be afraid of them not realising which is the litter tray as in my experience it would all look the same to them and they would wee anywhere in the hay. Potentially creating another problem with their feet as well as a stinky mess.

I guess it depends on how bad the hocks are right now?

Has the vet identified why they are getting sore hocks?

Just wondering if you found a solution? I’ve recently discovered one of mine has sore hocks (can’t actually see it unless you part the fur on his foot and even then it’s really difficult to get a good look ) but my lot destroy everything. Currently have the foam mats under their lino which gives it a nice cushiony feel but I fear he might need something softer on top and I can’t think of anything that they won’t destroy :?
