A friend for Dillon - sad update post 811.

All on hold again, I think Dilly is unwell again. He looks a bit sweaty and he doesnt smell like Dilly. Will be taking him to the vets if he doesnt smell better. Its not a big smell its it just odd.

Oh dear

Re the smell, is it sort of like a Farmyard smell ? Is he eating, drinking pooing and weeing OK ?

Sending vibes for him xx

Not sure what you mean by farmyard?

It is a urine smell and we have had this before - I have rung the vets for Baytril which usually helps him after a day or two.

Thank you all for your kind comments and vibes.

I hope you and the vet can help Dilly.

You all just don't deserve this. You need to get back on track :)

Hugs xx

Dont really know what to do, this week he has been back at the vets - urine scald. I have some steriod cream for him. I can not seem to get him right - it is one thing after another. His urine scald is right round his tail too. I am so sad for my boy - he has been poorly almost weekly since he came back from the bonders - the vets wont give him Baytril again at the moment as he has only just finished one lot.

We havent really done too much with trying to put them together it is far more important to try and get him well. The vets have given me zantac and pancur again as he is really not well.

We are wondering about getting Susan a pal and letting her be an outdoor bunny but our garden is south facing and Susan is pink eyed............ I need to do more research.

I'm sorry that Dilly is still unwell :( I agree it's better to get him well before attempting any more on the bonding front.

Tui is a REW and our back garden is also south facing. The bright sunshine doesn't seem to trouble her and I think it would be OK as long as there was somewhere Susan could go if she wanted shade.

I'm sorry to read that Dillon is still unwell. I'm with Omi 100% in that getting him better and feeling better will help in re-introducing Susan.
Sending loads of vibes for Dillon. xx

Thank you, Dilly is far to stressed to do anything with Susan. Just wish I could get to the bottom of this.

This is very difficult for you, and for all of your family :(

I may be out of turn suggesting this, and if so I am sorry. But would you perhaps consider getting Dilly seen by a specialist who can assess the whole history and do whatever tests are necessary and hopefully get to the bottom of what's going on?

It's very stressful for you to keep having him ill, and not know whether he can be bonded or not. These intractable situations can sometimes indicate an underlying health issue.

Do you think it is connected to Susan? Wondering if you were to put her outside would Dillon perk up? I have a south facing garden but you can always make some shade for Susan if you needed to.
