  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

More dental vibes needed ! U/d she's home!

She back home ! Really pleased that vet did her first thing, so got her back earlier than expected. Bottom teeth were sharp, but no ulceration thank goodness. Treacles up and about, had a big wee, and appears to be nibbling in her hay box ! Fingers and paws crossed that she continues !
Can't thank everyone enough for your lovely supportive posts, they make such a huge difference at these times. Just love RU !

Yay! Well done you it looks like those super sharp teeth were on track for causing issues over Christmas. Well done too Treacle bun, whose a brave girlie xx

Aww well done Treacle Chops xx

Definitely a good call to have her seen now rather than waiting. All paws crossed here that she’ll be stuffing her face again soon.

Wayhey, brilliant news! :D

Thanks everyone, I've never known her rally so quickly after a dental, still nibbling, just awaiting some poops now !

Thanks everyone, I definitely made the right decision getting her done. She's a little bit quiet this morning, but only to be expected I suppose, it's a thirty mile round trip, and she hates the car. Still she came racing in for her usual little slice of morning banana (or narny as we call it :?)
