The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. ‘Runt’ rabbit health

Zigzag

Alpha Buck
Hi all,

We visited ARC today, as we may try to bond our rabbit with one of their baby rabbits, that have come from an unplanned litter (based on the rescue’s advice).

We are thinking of adopting a ‘runt’, she is incredibly sweet. Does anyone know if there are any health implications? I just wanted to know other peoples experiences.

Thanks in advance

To my knowledge there isn't usually any health problems, it's just they are smaller and take longer to catch up. :thumb:

Esme was a lot smaller than her litter mates. When I got her at eight weeks old she was about two thirds the size of the others. She didn't have any notable problems through her life, I have just lost her at nearly eleven years.

Thanks Bunny Buddy, that’s great to hear. Although I’m so sorry you lost Esme recently. :( I hope you’re ok x
