  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I mean - it does say beneficial fibre. but the thing is is that all fibre is beneficial for rabbits. so really, its just a marketing ploy, but it all really means the same thing if I am honest.
"Beneficial Fibre (40%) • Crude Protein (14%) • Crude Fat (4%) • Crude Fibre (20%) • Crude Ash (6%)."

I mean I don’t think they can put 40% if it’s not 40%. otherwise they could be sued for lying, I don’t think they would be like that. I could be wrong but all fiber beneficial fiber for rabbits technically. so it’s just a marketing ploy but it’s technically not incorrect, as all fiber is beneficial.

I guess the issue is.... How much beneficial fibre is in other people's pellets?

We can't say excel is 40% but SS is 20% because they're both (roughly) 20% but excel have brought up something else which I'm not sure how to verify? [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Just googled it, I assume this is Tamsin.. [emoji38] Also bet you can't guess what I've been looking at on black Friday [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]
