Sadly wee Kiwi was put to sleep yesterday he was only two and a half. That's him in my pic.He had showed signs of breathing problems a few months back.Antibiotics made no difference, his chest sounded clear.About three weeks ago he lost his speaking voice (mimic). Then his whistling ,chirping changed too.symptoms could be iodine deficiency, however he had an iodine block ,which he pecked and drops. The conclusion was more like a cancer in the larynx. He squeaked when breathing, poor wee guy.Kindest to let him go.I buried him the garden next to my previous bird Mr.Jinks. Fly free Kiwi.
