Frances H-B - Owners Survey: Origin of infection in cases of RHD

Bunny Buddy

Wise Old Thumper
If anybody who has sadly lost a rabbit to RHD could fill in this survey it would help Frances's study and help us get a clearer picture of how the virus is being spread.

Thank you.

From Frances Harcourt-Brown's website:

Owners Survey: Origin of infection in cases of RHD

Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD) has killed thousands of rabbits. In recent years, it has reduced the number of wild rabbits in parts of the UK and is also killing pet rabbits. In many cases, it is difficult to know where the infection came from or how it was spread to affected cases. If you are someone who has lost a rabbit to RHD, please fill in the questionnaire. This survey started in March 2017 and will remain open until the end of 2018 at the earliest. Results are published periodically.

The link to the survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WWWSVFL

A link to the results is here: https://www.harcourt-brown.co.uk/su.../origin-of-rhdv-infection-in-domestic-rabbits.

Thanks for flagging this up BB. I am sure Frances remains grateful to you for your ongoing help with keeping details of the Study in the public domain.

It's a teeny, tiny bit of effort compared to all the work she's doing on these projects, she's particularly busy in the background with RHD2/sudden death stuff. It's amazing dedication for someone who could have just downed tools a few years ago and left the research etc to others.

She values your support. Her dedication to Rabbits will never retire, I dont think it's in her DNA !!

Quite terrifying

My Vet is in further discussion with Richard Saunders at the moment, re vaccination protocols etc. Richard is a Vet who's advice I trust 100% when it comes to all things RHD2 related. Without all of his hard work we would not have a RHD2 Vaccine at all. He deserves a Knighthood, IMO x
