Ive never used any, as I'm in agreement with Frances Harcourt Brown that they don't work.

However, some people have used Avipro, or Bio Lapis and they certainly can do no harm :)

My vet says he doesn't think they work, but they can't do any harm, I've used both the ones MM listed, bun liked them both :) he drank a lot more too haha

That's interesting, as he's an exotic vet and FHB was a rabbit specialist :)

Avipro is marketed as containing prebiotic, which some folk think works:

However, FHB doesn't think prebiotics have any effect on the acid rabbit's stomach either

As you say though, Grace, rabbits like the flavour because there's sugar/glucose in there :)

Yeaaa IIRC he said he wasn't convinced about prebiotics either... But again suggested we try them for Atticus, they made no difference, but did no harm either :)

It's always the case that we worry ourselves sick over our little ones.
Shows we care, but it's difficult, isn't it?

Hugs for you xx

I used to use Avipro Plus on the advice of an Exotics Specialist. At the time it only contained prebiotics. It has since been rebranded and a probiotic added, it is now known as Pro C Professional. The Exotics specialist has advised me to start to use this for one of my Rabbit who has Dysautonomia which includes GI tract issues as part of his clinical symptoms. Both Avipro Plus and now Pro C Professional have proved to be of great benefit to my Rabbit and they have negated the need to use any drugs to manage his gut symptoms x

I suppose you could try fibreplex? I don't know what you feel about that.
