Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

At Jacks school they have LOADS of wild rabbits on their land and at night and weekends the rabbits run all over the play ground. today Javk has come home with a bit of corriander or something like that which he found outside in the play ground on the floor, is this a VHD risk to Jimby and Cookie?

Just bin it?

I'm assuming they're vaccinated, so should be fine, I wouldn't feed them it though [emoji38]

as said before, they're vaccinated, it is the most you can do. everything is a VHD risk, its airborne, having a window open, opening the door, walking outside and coming back in. try not to worry too much, they're vaccinated and taken care of, thats the best that can be done.

just bin it and wash your hands really :)

but because he is not well his immune system will be low.
Jack made this corriander 'a bed' what do i do as he wants to keep that and the corriander has been all over it?

not sure if you mean the rabbit, but immune system doesn't make much of a difference if they've been vaccinated.

I hate to say it but you're way over thinking all of this.. as I said you opening your door to go outside would be a risk, as the disease is airborne. for all we know, the coriander may not even have RHD on it. but once again, the disease is airborne. I think we went over this when you worried about Jack going to school and if you should disinfect him every time he comes come - the answer is just to not over think it.

your rabbits are vaccinated, as long as you're not putting them next to a rabbit with RHD, they will be fine.

you could bring RHD in from walking.

the point is, you have done all that you can do. its pointless stressing or worrying over this or such tiny things, its not worth the energy.

if Jack wants to keep the bed that he made for the coriander, then I would just let him. its no more of a risk that opening your door, or taking a walk outside, opening your windows, letting the rabbits outside.

the risk is minimal imho.
