Charlie Charles

Elop

Warren Scout
Well Mr C is booked in for his balls off on the 18th. He has got so settled and comfortable with us now. He thinks he is a dog and is always following us for a treat or sleeping in front of the fire. We are so happy to have him. Here are some photos of what he does best!

I'm a bit worried about the rabbit in the background in the first image. Looks like he's been at the carrot juice.

He is our memory bunny for our English lop who died on New Year’s Day

That's a wonderful sweet idea. I've been trying to find something fitting for my bridge buns - I hadn't thought of a memory bunny. I do hope that all goes well with the op for Mr C. He seems wonderfully at home in front of the cosy fire.

I could never found a statue of an English lop but I saw this in Asda of all places and the cheeky face just reminded me of my bunny so much. It’s a permanent feature in our house now.

Hop for the hills Charlie, that pesky Vet is after your plums !! :D

When he has his op' I'd advice you to ask the Vet to have a good examination within his ear canals whilst he's under GA. I have a lot of experience of EL type ears and I have learned that the breed can be prone to ear problems so regular checking (with an otoscope) is important in order to pick up on any potential problems quickly. As Charlie will be under GA for his op' this will provide the Vet with the perfect opportunity to have an especially good look down his ear canals and clean them out if he/she deems it to be necessary. You could ask the Vet to clip his nails too as EL can damage their ears by standing on them and long toe nails increase the risk of injuries.

You probably already know all this so just tell me to butt out if that's the case !!

Thanks that’s great advice. I will ask her. I know they are prone to problems with their lugs. He has his back nails cut regularly as he had cut his ears a little before by standing on them. Much better now nails are trimmed. Thanks again for the info.

Good luck for the op Charlie  lovely photos, he’s certainly very much at home:thumb:

Reach out for some more Charlie vibes nearer the time of the op, and we'll all will him on to a quick recovery
