The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Hi there

Onset of immunity is three weeks :)

Is this a booster, to a fresh new vaccine for Charlie?

He had he rhd2 two weeks ago. I wanted that first as felt he was more at risk. This is his first mixi.

I agree with you, as Filavac protects against RHD1 and RHD2 :)

Then it is the full three weeks .... Long time to wait Charlie x

The Filavac Vaccine covers both RHD1 and RHD2 and the onset of immunity is established after 7 days. Full details available here :

https://www.harcourt-brown.co.uk/media/documents/filavac.doc

If Charlie had the Eravac RHD2 Vaccine, not the Filavac -Eravac covers for just RHD2. Onset of immunity is established in 7 days. Full details available here :

https://www.harcourt-brown.co.uk/media/documents/eravac-uk-datasheet-0.pdf

The Nobivac Myxo-RHD Vaccine protects against Myxomatosis and RHD1. The onset of immunity is established in 3 weeks. Full details available here :

Do check whether Charlie had the Filavac or the Eravac. As you will have seen from the products data sheets Filivac has a 12 months duration of immunity but Eravac only has a 9 month duration of immunity. :)

Yes I checked at the time and also checked batch numbers as I know some feliavac might have been recalled. So three weeks for protection from mixi. Thanks so much

In fact the Filavac that was supposedly recalled never entered the chain for clients.
See post 10 here:
http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?471653-**NEW**-RHD2-Updated-August-2018

This recall was issued after FILAVIE informed the VMD about an incident during transportation leading to incorrect storage requirements of a specific shipment of FILAVAC VHD K C+V. This problem being identified BEFORE the affected products were delivered to UK wholesalers. The defective products were sent back to FILAVIE and destroyed.

Yes, three weeks for myxi immunity, as I mentioned in my first post :)

Indeed, I was speaking with a couple of Vets who did actually receive some of the compromised batch and so had to send them back. That led to them temporarily having to reserve vaccine stock for Rabbits considered to be at very high risk. One Vet was based in Yorkshire, the other in London.
