Toby at 9.30pm last night took TWO NIBBLES from a fresh parsley.

Dennis and Maple had been giving the parsley a hair cut when Toby got very jelous and had to inspect what they where eating. He tried to chin the parsley over and over to claim as his own (was very funny.) He then took small two nibbles!!!

Did he enjoy it? Nope
Was it a dominance thing? Yep
Would eat it again? Nope

I just hope that Dennis and Maple have learnt a very valuable lesson here. Toby owns all food, even food he doesn't like!

Did he enjoy it? Yes, of course he did.
Will he eat it again? You bet he will, but only if no-one's looking.
Will he ensure M and D don't get any? Yep, because all food belongs to Toby.

So....

This week Toby has eaten:

Fresh hawthorn off the branch
A WHOLE fresh plantain
Fresh parsley

And here he is now!

What's that all about then? Has he discovered moist foods are actually really nommy? It's taking him 2.3 years to eat a fresh piece of Parsley

My view:

He's always had a sniff and thought, "Nah, can't be doing with that. It doesn't smell like the food I'm used to".

However......now he has competition in the form of a Maple and a Dennis. And he thinks, "I can't allow them to eat all this food, that is clearly meant for ME". And so he's tried it. And d'ya know what, if you could see inside Toby's head, you could see that he's thinking that fresh food is actually nice

I think you'll find he will eat it from now on. And, of course, that has to be good for his digestion :D

He won't eat a piece of grass but will eat a heart tablet raw.

One does boggle the mind Toby

They're fascinating creatures aren't they  I bet his tummy feels so much more comfortable too.

I wonder why wouldn't stuff for over two years? Millie used to have fresh noms, he never wanted hers though. Maybe he didn't see her as a threat because he was top bun. I dunno, I quess Toby is extra special
