I think it's 28 days ish after mating? Or 31? I'd count from the last time you saw them doing that roughly [emoji38] google the numbers I've never actually bred bunnies just learnt a lot when I had a female that was thought to be pregnant - was a while ago tho :)

The vet can neuter the male now for sure. Judging by what you've said, they won't do an emergency spay on the female as it's risky when they're pregnant.

Ensure they're separated and have no chance of getting to each other.

Please don't palpate her abdomen. You can cause bruising to internal organs if you do it incorrectly and may injure any unborn kits.

It definitely sounds like she is pregnant, do as much research as possible starting with the links that MightyMax has provided you

I'm glad he's booked in.

I hope the vets will be addressing the untrained member of staff giving out incorrect advice.

Maybe they could provide a helping hand by offering a discount on the baby rabbits to be vaccinated or neutered (if she gives birth) as it's their incorrect information that caused this situation.

her nest is the size off two pillows she keeps adding hay! theres a big hole wich she burrows in, she just did some and she ran out flopped over andwent to sleep, is this normal?

Yes this is normal. She needs peace and quiet now to have the babies.

i have 2 nest boxes now but she has made the nest on the floorso the part which she has burrowed is on the floor! is this where the kits will go if so should they be on the floor?

will i be able to tell when shes in labour? will she make a sound? how will she act? what time will it be likely?

She will need to have her babies in the nest she has made. It will possibly happen in the night. Please don't fuss over her at this stage. Make sure she has some water handy.

Thankyou everyone for your help i obviously already reasearched just incase but thought joining n asking a forum would be the best way to confirm my knowledge ill keep you posted

whats that x
Oh just a vet which specialises in exotic animals (including buns) even though most vets will deal with bunnies there are some vets which specialise in that and they're much better to see :) I'll try find the link to find your closest one
