  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Sneezing and wheezing

Yeaaa, i'm really not sure about it all - William reckoned once a week would be enough - reapply if he got wet though. I might start a thread on it, get some opinions. I've read basically all old threads on it, but would be nice to find some more recent opinions.

Also says like dangerous if ingested.. but he's going to groom the area.. i dont get this.. and it scares me honestly

Be far better to solve the problem of the messy bottom, wouldn't it?

Oh yea absolutely [emoji38][emoji38] been trying to do that for a while now, there just doesn't seem to be anything :( yesterday at the vets his bum was pretty good no watery stuff, but I can't trust it - plus running around outside he goes absolutely mad and then produces worse poops and gets all messy again. If I could cure it and not use anything, that'd be my preferred option but unless I start using medications - which he'd have to potentially be on long term and as he's only 1, that scares me.. Plus William hasn't even suggested anything that could help with his issues :( x

Oh dear :( The only stuff I found worked permanently was what you and I have already talked about.

Yes I try to avoid medications unless there's absolutely no alternative x
