When Is The Right Time?

Hello again and yes another post.

So as you all probably know by now, I am no expert when it comes to rabbits and this is my first time bonding.

So the past 3 days I have placed a pen/gate thing (not really sure how to explain it) across my room so they can have half the floor each everyday (I know it's still not big enough for them but it's for momentarily) which has caused Luna to stop chewing and pulling at the bars a lot (still does but not as much).

The question is and in your own experiences, when is the right time to remove the pen and start face to face bonding. They eat close to each other, lay down by each other and run up and down together. I'm not too sure if Jasper is nipping her through the bars when she gets close, I cant see any teeth or anything but she does lower her head to him so I'm guessing his trying to groom her?

I'm still going to wait until she gets spayed and recovers from it but would it be okay if I tried to remove the bars?

I don't allow bunnies to see or smell one another (preferably) before bonding.
They just get plonked together on neutral ground when I have the time and I deal with it from there.

This is how I bond two, three and four rabbits. I've done hundreds of bonds this way never had a failed bond. (There's always a first time!!!)

So basically I am not the best person to advise ... But have you looked at some bonding links?
