Ideas for hay feeder please!

I wasn't sure whether to post would be best suited in diet or housing... but here goes!

I'm looking for suggestions for a hay feeder for Twix. Since he's gone completely free range (no cage), I've been trialing lots of different hay feeders to find what is going to work best. My main concern is trying to keep up with his litter training and so I'm aware of keeping the hay as close to his litter tray as possible (or even one in the same) to promote use of the litter tray.

However, I'm still not quite there with what work's best.

At first I had one of these, and placed it next to the litter tray (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077C4KBDK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in the hope that he would eat it from the litter tray, but he would just sit next to it and pull it all out on to the floor and make such a mess

I've also tried just an old box file with the lid cut off (https://www.amazon.co.uk/BLACK-BOX-FILE-FOOLSCAP-NEW/dp/8629000422) because he did like to sit in the hay whilst eating it, but then he would start pooping and peeing in the box and not only would it destroy the box, I was worried it was interfering with his litter training.

So next I think I want to try something like this as it would solve the litter training issue (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/530...MIkIOz24nu2gIVDbTtCh04ywflEAQYBCABEgIncPD_BwE) but can't find any alternatives to this one which seems to be crazily expensive!!

Would really appreciate any suggestions of what works for you :)

I use a large under bed storage box as a litter tray and have an Ikea bag holder attached to the pen bars sitting over the litter tray for the hay. I also put a layer of hay in the litter box, they seem to go for this first when it’s freshly cleaned out but not so much once they’ve pooped & peed on it hence the ‘hay rack’ is essential!

As you don’t have a pen to attach a hay rack to I would think something like the combined tray & feeder in your link would be a good option https://www.smallpawsplaytime.com/product-page/bunny-paws-litter-tray I’ve always quite liked the look of this type of thing, especially now that small paws offer metal bars instead of the wooden dowels as I’ve had wood ones in the past which my lot have destroyed in no time. You can buy standalone feeders without the tray part which are cheaper and could work with your existing litter tray. Manor pet housing also do some lovely stuff, more expensive again but higher quality.

I bought a planter thingy for about £5 from Home Bargains or similar. Works a treat, holds loads. Its got forage in it here but you get the idea

I use a magazine rack for my four outdoor rabbits. They live in a shed/run combo.
