I'm so pleased to read your update. Poor boy and what a dreadful way to treat another living being

I hope he starts to enjoy his new life with you and Caramel and that his vet appointment goes well.

So here's our little guy, not got a lot of photos yet and they're not all that great but here goes ...

    Snoozing

    Enthusiastic Munching

He's doing well. I've had some lovely snuggle times with him and been blessed with a few tooth purrs and licks At the moment he's still pooping everywhere, and any wees I spot on the carpet I clean up and then put a litter tray over the spot he peed on He's got three litter trays now, I wonder if he'll get the hint If anyone has any suggestions for litter training, I'd love to hear them.

Today Muffy and Caramel actualy looked directly at each other through the gate Caramel was clearly assessing the situation of another bunny being near her domain, but she still didn't react aggressively or anything, she just kind of stared. Muffy finally acknowledged Caramel's presence but possibly didn't quite know what to make of her, so wondered off Caramel seemed unphased by him wondering off, she just stayed put and started munching. I've put lots of toys and chew things near the gate to encourage them to be near each other and get used to each other.

I think relatively good signs so far.

The best way I know of to get a bunny litter trained is having a litter tray filled with hay. Sometimes they just don't get the idea especially if they have never been litter trained before. Fingers crossed for that. I am so pleased he is settling in well.

Thanks, yes they are full of hay. It’s early days so we’ll see, maybe he’ll get the hang of it in the end.

A lot of mess in the interim but there is hope Caramel will teach him when the time comes. You're doing everything right so legs crossed he gets the idea. He is beautiful & I think he knows he's finally "come home"
