Triple Advice (sorry!)

belly

Young Bun
Evening all, I've read the top thread on triples but mine is slightly different.

I have a bonded pair. Dutch buck (5 yo) and Blue Rex doe 3.5 yo). The bond is a good one and they've been bonded around 18 months now.

The buck is a smaller rabbit, thus has little rabbit syndrome and is very grumpy and territorial. (nips, thumbs, grunts and sprays wee). The doe is completely chilled which is why it works I think?

He was in a pair before and was bonded for around 2 years or so when she suddenly past away (e cuniculi), he became more challenging thereafter and seems forever changed.

Today my friend saw a 3yo Dutch cross on gumtree, free to good home and came with a tiny cage. I collected her shortly after. Despite the poor living conditions she's fine (albeit a little overweight and not spayed or vaccinated.) she's very chilled and really quite playful. In my years of rabbit keeping one of the nicest personalities I've seen.

My initial plan today was get her done, jabbed and bond her with a rescue (all mine are rescues) then I wondered about a triple and if that could work?

Any advice most welcome!

Also, Mairwen Guard has put some brilliant bonding videos on YouTube which are well worth watching - do search for them as there are quite a few.

Good luck :)
