  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Millie at out of hour vets

You're definitely not crazy, just grieving for someone you loved deeply. Sending hugs and hoping that things become more bearable for you x

Thank you :( I might try the rwaf bereavement line as im mot coping too well at the moment. People might think I'm crazy but our whole life revolves around those bunnies. We feel there is a hole in our family now, and I'm worried sick about Toby.

How are things this morning? xx

Oh goodness, I've only just seen your thread. I can't believe it.. I'm so, so sorry you lost Millie :( I remember seeing pictures of her and Toby a while ago. They were such a beautiful pair
I know the shock of losing a rabbit so unexpectedly, in many ways it's worse than losing an ill rabbit because it's such a shock. It takes a long time to process what's happened and there's such a huge hole.
I really, really feel for you right now :( I so wish there was something I could say that would make the pain go away
*Hugs*

Sleep peacefully little Millie xx

Tears this morning for you baby girl. We really miss you :( I hope you are having fun at the bridge with Tippy. We are laughing about "acubunture" were we used scatter treats on our backs and your talons were always the sharpest - we used to call them your "pincers". Why where they so sharp baby girl? We miss your braveness exploring were Toby would trod along behind you like the whimp he was. Miss you everyday, such a pair of rascals xxxx
